About Manuel Nawri

Manuel Nawri was born in Überlingen and studied in Freiburg and Odessa. He received a scholarship from the Internationale Ensemble Modern Akademie and was a Conducting Fellow at the Tanglewood Music Festival. He has served as an assistant to Peter Eötvös and Susanna Mälkki, among others. Nawri has conducted in the opera houses of Frankfurt, Berlin, Brisbane, Paris, and Moscow and at noted festivals such as the Lucerne Festival, Salzburg Biennale, Warsaw Autumn, Festival d’Automne à Paris, the Israel Festival, and the Melbourne International Arts Festival. He has also appeared with the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, Essener Philharmoniker, ensemble mosaik, basel sinfonietta, and Bochumer Symphoniker.
