About Bärbel Kubicek

Born in Mecklenburg, Bärbel Kubicek studied piano at the Spezialschule für Musik in Halle and opera singing at the University of Music in Weimar, where she received a solo diploma. For 14 years she was a member of the ensemble of Theater Plauen-Zwickau, performing roles such as Mimi, Antonia, Frau Flut, Susanna, Liu, Konstanze, Micaëla, and Desdemona. She has also performed as a guest soloist in Gera, Altenburg, and Cottbus. Kubicek joined the Theater Hof Opera Chorus in 2009.
