About Karsten Jesgarz

Karsten Jesgar was born in Homberg/Efze and studied singing at the University of Music and Theater in Hanover. Following engagements at the Hanover State Opera and Theater Hildesheim (1991–1995), Jesgar has been a member of the ensemble of Theater Hof since 1995. In 2002, he received the Friends of Theater Hof Prize. His roles have included Herodes (Salome), Hauptmann (Wozzeck), Loge (Das Rheingold), Josef K. (The Trial by Philip Glass), Der Gelehrte (Schattenspiele by Hans Gefors), and La Voz de un Payador (María de Buenos Aires).
