About Dietrich Henschel
Dietrich Henschel, born in Berlin in 1967, studied piano, conducting, singing at the Nuremberg Conservatoire and at the Munich Musikhochschule. He joined the theatre of the state capital of Kiel as a lyric baritone. His international career began as Faust in Busoni's opera Doktor Faustus at the Opéra national de Lyon in 1997, followed by engagements with the Paris opera houses, Deutsche Oper Berlin, the operas of Amsterdam, Zurich, Geneva, Brussels as well as with opera festivals like Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, the Festival d'Aix-en-Provence and the Munich Opera Festival, among others. As a lied and concert singer, he appears regularly on all major concert stages and works with renowned conductors such as John Eliot Gardiner, René Jacobs, Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Christoph Eschenbach, Zubin Mehta and Kent Nagano.Products
