About Florian Doerpholz
Florian Dörpholz, born in Karlsruhe in 1978, pursued preliminary studies with Prof. Reinhold Friedrich at the Karlsruhe Musikhochschule from 1996-99. From 1999-2001 he completed his music studies in Karlsruhe with Prof. Reinhold Friedrich, Prof. Edward H. Tarr (baroque trumpet) and Klaus Schuhwerk and attended master classes with Edward H. Tarr, Friedemann Immer and Markus Stockhausen, among others. He won several prizes at the federal competition 'Jugend musiziert' and was a member of the State Youth Orchestra of Baden-Württemberg, the Federal Youth Orchestra and the European Youth Orchestra. Various activities as a soloist with Christian Schmitt and Helge von Niswandt (trumpet-organ-trombone) as well as a soloist with the German String Philharmonic under the direction of Prof. Michael Sanderling (German tour in 2005/2006), with the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra (2006/2007) and the Berliner Master Soloists (Norwegian tour in December 2009). Since January 2003, he has been solo trumpet player of the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra.Products
