About Stefan Blum
Stefan Blum (b. 1946) received his training at the Uni versity of Music and Performing Arts Munich. Since 2000, he has led the percussion class at the Leopold Mozart Center of Augsburg University. As a soloist, he has ap peared with (among others) the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the West German Radio Symphony Orchestra, and Klangforum in Vienna. In 2001, he was the soloist for the premiere of Enjott Schneider’s percussion symphony "Sisyphos" with the Munich Symphony Orchestra, and in 2018 for the premiere of Schneider’s "Machine Worlds" with the Augsburg Phil harmonic Orchestra. Blum is a member of important chamber music formations such as Xsemble, Trio-log, and Piano Possibile. As a performer, he focuses on contemporary mu sic, collaborating with leading composers and playing in numerous recordings for radio, television, and well-known record labels.
