Nuernberger Symphoniker
About Nuernberger Symphoniker
Artistic quality and stylistic diversity are distinguishing characteristics of the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra. Since 1946, this ensemble has delighted audiences with some 100 concerts per year. While the concert series in the Meistersinger Hall is focused primarily on the Classic and Romantic repertoire, in the Music Hall in the Congress Hall the orchestra presents a broad range of cross-genre projects involving jazz, pop, film, and literature. Further highlights are a series of summer concerts in the Serenadenhof, Europe’s largest classical open-air concerts in the Luitpoldhain, Advent concerts in Nuremberg’s famous Christmas market and the multimedia participatory concerts of "U-TURN | das Orchestival". Since September 2022, the orchestra's principal conductor has been the internationally acclaimed, charismatic Jonathan Darlington, who stands for a rare blend of artistic excellence, infectious vitality and charming communication skills.
