À propos de Tobias Hagedorn

Tobias Hagedorn was born in Moers in 1987. He studied church music and electronic composition at the Cologne University of Music and Dance, and composition at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts. This was followed by a composition scholarship from the Mozart Foundation and a six-month stay at the Cité internationale des arts in Paris sponsored by the Cultural Foundation of the German Federal States. Hagedorn was a prizewinner at the Ad libitum composition competition of the Netzwerk Neue Musik in Baden-Württemberg, as well as at the international composition competition for organ and tape in Dudelange. As Composer in Residence at the Kunst-Station St. Peter in Cologne, he received a composition commission for one of the most advanced organs in the world. Hagedorn teaches electronic media at the University for Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt. From 2016 to 2025, he was the organist at the Herz Jesu church in Frankfurt- Oberrad, where he initiated and curated the concert series “HörBar.” Since September 2025, he has served as a church musician at the St. Marien and St. Engelbert churches in Cologne.
