À propos de Nejc Grm

Slovenian accordionist Nejc Grm is an internationally acclaimed performer with a wide-ranging repertoire. A large portion of his work consists of researching and enriching the accordion repertoire in various musical styles. Grm studied at the Academy of Music and the Conservatory for Music and Ballet in Ljubljana, the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, and the music universities in Basel, Lucerne, and Freiburg. He was supported by a Zois scholarship and a scholarship from the Slovenian Ministry of Culture. He has received numerous awards and first prizes at national and international competitions, including Sydney, Pula, Beltinci, and Svirel. With his ensemble Concept Store Quartet, he was awarded First Prize and the Audience Prize at the renowned Concours Nicati 2019 in Bern.
Since completing his studies, Nejc Grm has worked closely with contemporary composers, commissioned numerous new works, and participated in more than 80 world premieres. He is a member of several ensembles, including the Concept Store Quartet, Ensemble Neuverband, and various duo formations. He also regularly performs with international ensembles on the contemporary music scene. He has lived in Basel since 2017.
