About Philipp Kronbichler

Philipp Kronbichler was born in St. Pölten, Austria, in 1980 and trained as a classical concert pianist at the conservatories in Salzburg, Vienna, and Cologne with Anton Czjzek, Noel Flores, and Klaus Oldemeyer. This included successful participation in various national and international piano competitions. Performances as a pianist and composer have taken him to Vienna, Linz, Salzburg, Cologne, and New York, both as a soloist and with orchestras. In addition to solo performances, he devotes himself to chamber music and New Music. In 2010, he founded the piano duo elaeis with the Cologne pianist Jovita Zähl. From 2008 to 2019, Kronbichler was a lecturer at the Cologne University of Music. In 2019, he returned to Austria, where he teaches at the St. Pölten Music School.
