About Nicole Ferrein

Nicole Ferrein studied singing in Aachen, Cologne, and London, as well as philosophy and German language and literature at the University of Cologne. She made a name for herself as a recital and oratorio singer and has been a member of the ensemble Tra I Tempi for many years, with which she has performed countless works of contemporary music. In the process, she also became acquainted the music of Morton Feldman, whose work she has since studied intensively. As a soloist, she has performed his Three Voices at the Beethovenfest in Bonn, in the concert series "Erlebnis Neue Musik" at the Theater im Ballsaal in Bonn, and "Neue Musik im Fläming" in Dessau, as well as in Cologne, Mönchengladbach, and the artists’ village of Worpswede. Nicole Ferrein has also participated in numerous recordings, as well as radio play and theater productions.
