In 2010, she founded the piano duo elaeis with Philipp Kronbichler. The duo has performed and recorded repertoire ranging from Classical and Romantic works to contemporary music, including compositions by Philipp Kronbichler. In 2019, the recordings of paradis with works by Friedrich Jaecker were released. Jovita Zähl lives and works in Cologne.
