Schott Music, one of the world’s leading music publishers, today announces the appointment of Jeroen Verbeek as Director of International Growth, strengthening the company’s international senior leadership team.
In this newly created role, Belgian-born Jeroen Verbeek is responsible for the development and expansion of Schott’s international market presence and global sales footprint. Since December 2025, he has been driving growth initiatives to extend Schott Music Group’s reach beyond its strong core markets, such as Germany and the United Kingdom, and to unlock new opportunities worldwide.
As the global music publishing industry continues to evolve rapidly, established publishers are required to remain agile, build strong partnerships and identify sustainable pathways for future growth in an increasingly competitive and dynamic environment.
Setting a strategic course for global markets
Jeroen Verbeek brings more than 19 years of experience in the international music publishing industry. Before joining Schott Music Group, he spent nearly two decades at Hal Leonard Europe, most recently as Head of Sales, where he led international sales channels and maintained strategic publishing partnerships across Europe and Asia.
A classically trained musician, Jeroen began playing the trumpet at the age of six and later studied at the LUCA School of Arts – Lemmensinstituut in Leuven, where he graduated with a Master’s degree in Music. His professional career is driven by a strong passion for music education, international collaboration and building sustainable, long-term growth within the global music publishing industry.
"Rethinking the music business has long been part of Schott’s DNA. We look back on a long tradition and understand how to continue developing that legacy for the future. International markets represent enormous potential for growth. We are convinced that Jeroen Verbeek is exactly the creative and strategically minded person we need for our next phase of development. We very much look forward to the journey ahead." (Denis M. Freiberg, managing director of Schott Music)

"I am truly honoured to join Schott Music Group at such an exciting moment in its history, with the opportunity to help shape the company’s next chapter. Schott’s legacy and commitment to excellence are world-renowned, and I sincerely appreciate the confidence placed in me. I look forward to supporting the company’s international expansion by strengthening key partnerships, unlocking new market opportunities and amplifying Schott’s reach to musicians and music lovers worldwide."
