Stefanie Kunschke studied opera and concert singing, school music, and vocal pedagogy at the Cologne University of Music, completing her training "with distinction" and a Concert Exam. As a permanent ensemble member of the opera companies in Lübeck, Augsburg, and Munich, she sang a wide repertoire and almost all the Mozart roles for her vocal type. She was awarded the Augsburg State Theater’s "Theater Prize." At the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz in Munich, she sang youthful dramatic roles such as Agathe in Der Freischütz and Marie in The Bartered Bride, as well as orchestral songs by Richard Strauss. She sang Sieglinde in a concert performance of Richard Wagner’s Die Walküre in Munich. As a guest performer, she has appeared as Mme Lidoine in Poulenc’s Dialogues des Carmélites, as Elvira in Rossini’s L’italiana in Algeri, and in major operetta roles in theaters such as the Bonn Opera and the German National Theater in Weimar. She has been a guest at the Rheingau Music Festival and in major concert halls with renowned orchestras and conductors both in Germany and abroad. She has also made a number of recordings with German broadcast networks such as NDR and WDR.
