'Three Auden Songs' was commissioned by Theatre Royal de la Monnaie for the tenor Mark Padmore and the pianist Andrew West who gave the first performance in Brussels in 2009. Lyricism and clarity are its defining characteristics, and a strong feeling for both voice and accompaniment that comes naturally to this fine composer/pianist.
