Summer Evening
Sonatina
flute (violin, treble recorder, mandoline) and guitar
Les trois mouvements de cette pièce rappellent le style de la chanson française. La mélodie évocatrice et la construction symétrique des phrases font penser à l’époque florissante des pièces pour flûte et guitare de la période Biedermeier (Fürstenau, Giuliani, Carulli etc.). Un enrichissement pour les cours de niveau intermédiaire et le clou des concerts d’élèves et des concours pour jeunes musiciens.

Description
In his compositions, Olivier Mayran de Chamisso (*1955), French guitar player and composer, devotes himself primarily to the translation of educational ideas into practice. This is why they usually emerge directly from the teaching practice and are therefore perfect to add to the teaching repertoire. The three movements illustrate the cheerful and relaxed atmosphere on a summer evening, with their style being reminiscent of French chansons. The catchy melody and the symmetrical phrase structure are reminiscent of the heyday of the flute-guitar pieces in the Biedermeier period (Fürstenau, Guiliani, Carulli, etc.). A valuable addition to instrumental lessons at secondary schools and a highlight at pupils' concerts and youth competitions.
