About Susanne Stoodt
Susanne Stoodt (violin) has been a professor at the Hochschule for Music and the Performing Arts in Frankfurt since 1994. She has many years of experience as concertmaster of the orchestras at the State Theater in Mainz and the German Opera on the Rhine in Düsseldorf. As a member of the Grüneburg Trio – which only a year after its founding was a winner at the renowned ARD Competition in Germany – she toured extensively throughout Germany and Europe, appearing in numerous concert series and international festivals. Her broad solo repertoire ranges from the Baroque to contemporary works. Stoodt has taught many master classes in Germany and the USA, and has worked with the Young German Philharmonic and the state youth orchestras in Hesse and Rheinland-Pfalz. The training of young musicians occupies an important place in her life; many of her students have been successful in national and international competitions.
