Description

Joaquín Rodrigo’s Canciones is a new publication that shows a diverse selection of Spanish literature as reflected in the beauty of the poetry that the composer chose for his texts.
Considered the Spanish Schumann, Rodrigo set music to the most famous verses, from medieval romances to the greatest Spanish poets of the twentieth century, weaving an intimate rapport between the words and the music.

The songs are testimony to the close collaboration between Rodrigo and his wife, Victoria Kamhi, whose selfless efforts provided a true translation of the words into French and German, which are included in this collection.
