À propos de Trio Berlin
The Trio Berlin was founded by members of the Berlin Philharmonic – Aleksandar Ivić (violin), Julia Gartemann (viola), and Martin Menking (violoncello). All three have been active chamber music performers and soloists with concerts in America, Europe, and Asia, and are members of various chamber music groups (Scharoun Ensemble, 12 Cellists, Berlin Baroque Soloists, etc.). In 2007, they decided to dedicate their musical experience, enthusiasm, and passion to the Trio Berlin. As early as 2008, they toured Japan with works by Beethoven, Schubert, Françaix, and von Dohnányi; their homogeneity and voluminous ensemble sound were especially praised. Building on this success, a further tour to Japan is planned, as well as concerts in Germany, Poland, Croatia, and Italy. Aleksandar Ivić performs on a violin by Francesco Gobetti, Venice 1711; Julia Gartemann plays a viola from Ferdinando Landolfi, Milan 1767; and Martin Menking’s violoncello was made by P. A. Testore, Milan 1730.
