About Tora Augestad

Tora Augestad was born in Bergen, Norway. Her flexibility is an inspiration for composers, directors, and conductors. An accomplished singer and actress, she studied both jazz and classical singing, and appears regularly in international productions by director Christoph Marthaler. Tora Augestad received the prestigious Lotte Lenya Prize and was named “Performer of the Year” by the Norwegian Society of Composers. Since 2015, she has been Artistic Director of the Hardanger Music Festival in Norway.
