About Philippe Manoury

Philippe Manoury is one of the most important French composers of our time, known for his pioneering research with music using live electronics. After a period teaching in Brazil, in 1981 he joined mathematician Miller Puckette at IRCAM in Paris to develop MAXMSP, a programming language for interactive live electronics. Since 2017, Manoury holds the prestigious Chaire Annuelle de Creéation Artistique at the Collège de France.
