About Oliver Triendl

The pianist Oliver Triendl was born in 1970 in Mallersdorf, Bavaria. His teachers have been Rainer Fuchs, Karl-Heinz Diehl, Eckart Besch, Gerhard Oppitz, and Oleg Maisenberg. Triendl has won a number of national and international competitions.
Over the years, Triendl has become an extremely versatile artistic personality. Some 100 recordings document his engage ment as an exponent of seldom-played works from the Classic and Romantic repertoire, as well as his efforts on behalf of contemporary music.
He has appeared as soloist with numerous distinguished orchestras: the Bamberg Symphony, the NDR Radio Philharmonic, the Gürzenich Orchestra, the Munich Radio Orchestra, the Munich Philharmonic, and others. A passionate chamber musician, he has performed with colleagues such as Christian Alten -burger, Ana Chumachenco, David Geringas, Ilya Gringolts, and Frans Helmerson. In 2006, Triendl founded the International Chamber Music Festival “Classix Kempten” in Kempten in the Allgäu region of Germany.
Oliver Triendl has also concertized with much success at festivals and in many of the music metropolises of Europe, North and South America, South Africa, and Asia.
