About Hampus Lindwall
Hampus Lindwall, born in Stockholm in 1976, is the organist at Saint-Esprit in Paris, a position made famous by Jeanne Demessieux, who held the position from 1933 to 1962. Lindwall is active in many areas, from contemporary classical music to experimental and electronic music. He is a well-known soloist for music of the 20th and 21st centuries and is also a creative improviser and composer. Lindwall was the last pupil of Rolande Falcinelli, under whose influence he moved to Paris in 2002 to study at the Conservatoire de Saint-Maur-des-Fossés and the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Lyon.
