About Dalia Schaechter
Dalia Schaechter was born in Israel, grew up in Kibbutz Barkai and studied at the Hochschule für Musik München. Schaechter worked with several well-known conductors including Lorin Maazel, Claudio Abbado, Daniel Barenboim, Georg Solti, James Levine, and Yehudi Menuhin. Dalia Schaechter has performed with the Vienna State Opera, the Berlin State Opera, the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Théâtre du Châtelet Paris, the Teatro comunale di Bologna and the Teatro Real Madrid, at the music festivals of Bayreuth and Salzburg and at Oper Köln. She sang e. g. the roles of Amneris (Aida), Eboli (Don Carlos), Lady Macbeth (Macbeth), Santuzza (Cavalleria Rusticana), Ortrud (Lohengrin), Kundry (Parsifal), Brangäne (Tristan), Fricka (The Rhine Gold, The Valkyrie) and Waltraute (Twilight of the Gods). In March 2008 Dalia Schaechter was honored with the title of "Kammersängerin" by the city of Cologne.Products
