The Silesian Chamber Orchestra, founded in 1981 by composer and conductor Jan Wincenty Hawel, is the youngest of the three ensembles associated with the Silesian Philharmonic and is currently directed by violin virtuoso Robert Kabara.OrchestraThe group performs the classical chamber music repertoire as well as rarely performed masterpieces and arrangements of works by Franz Schubert, Felix Mendelssohn, Peter Tchaikovsky, and Dmitri Shostakovich.
