Marek Reichert was born in Berlin and studied at the Carl Maria von Weber University of Music in Dresden and the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy University of Music and Theater in Leipzig. In addition to an engagement at the Landestheater in Coburg from 2006 to 2010, Reichert has performed at the Bayreuth Festival as well as in Wiesbaden, Leipzig, Saarbrücken, Nuremberg, Regensburg, Wuppertal, and Aachen. Among his most important roles have been Wolfram (Tannhäuser), Count Almaviva (The Marriage of Figaro), Marcello (La Bohème), Count Danilo (The Merry Widow), Valentin (Faust), and Peter Besenbinder (Hänsel und Gretel).
