À propos de Ensemble CelloPassionato

Founded by Hyun-Jung Berger after she joined the faculty of the University of Augsburg’s Leopold Mozart Center, Ensemble CelloPassionato brings together the finest students from all the school’s cello classes. Initially only intended for educational purposes, CelloPassionato soon developed into an attractive ensemble for event organizers, festivals, radio stations, and CD companies. Directed by Hyun-Jung Berger, the ensemble has been a guest at the Cello Festival Kronberg, the aDevantgarde Festival in Munich, the Asiago Festival in Italy, the Konzert haus Berlin, and at numerous performances in France, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Austria, South Korea and, of course, in its home town of Augsburg.
Composers such as Sofia Gubaidulina, Wolfgang Rihm, Wilhelm Killmayer, Franghiz Ali-Zadeh, Giovanni Bonato, Manuela Kerer, and Eduard Pütz have entrusted the ensemble with performances of their works or written new ones for the group. The ensemble is currently working on commissions from composers Markus Schmitt and Oscar Strasnoy. CelloPassionato has participated in several CD productions as well as radio and television recordings for BR, HR, ORF, SBS (Korea), and ARTE.
