About Maximilian Mangold

Maximilian Mangold studied with Jürgen Ruck, Alvaro Pierri, and Thomas Müller-Pering. He has won numerous prizes, for example at the International Guitar Competition in Mettmann and the competitions of the Guitar Foundation of America in Quebec and Northridge. He received a scholarship from the German National Merit Foundation and was selected for the 38^th Young Artists Concert Series sponsored by the German Music Council. 16 CD recordings document his exceptionally broad repertoire, including both of the Royal Winter Music sonatas by Hans Werner Henze. Numerous composers have dedicated works to him and his duo with the harpist, Mirjam Schröder.
