About Florian Uhlig
Florian Uhlig has been called “one of the most individual and imaginative young pianists of our time” (Musical Opinion). Born in Düsseldorf, he gave his first recital at the age of twelve. He studied with Peter Feuchtwanger before continuing his studies at the Royal College of Music and the Royal Academy of Music in London, where he currently resides. He has been the winner of many international awards, such as the Queen Elizabeth Rose Bowl and the Culture Prize of the European Cultural Foundation; he has also performed on numerous CD recordings. In addition to his appearances as a soloist with orchestras such as the BBC Symphony Orchestra, the Dresden Philharmonic, the Munich Symphony and the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra, Florian Uhlig is also an important chamber musician and accompanist. He was the last musical partner of the legendary baritone, Hermann Prey.Products
