About Elisabeth Kufferath
Elisabeth Kufferath is a violist as well as a violinist. A founding member of the Tetzlaff Quartet, she is active as a chamber musician and has appeared as a soloist with orchestras such as the WDR Symphony Orchestra in Cologne and the World Youth Symphony Orchestra. She has been a guest at many international festivals (in Berlin and Lucerne, for example) and made her debut in New York’s Carnegie Hall in 2008. Having earlier been a professor of violin at the Hochschule für Musik in Detmold, Kufferath has, since April 2009, been a professor of violin at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hanover. From 1997 until 2004, Kufferath was a concertmaster of the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra.Products
