About Gyoergy Kurtag

György Kurtág was born on 19. february 1926 in Lugoj, Romania.
He studied composition and chamber music at the Franz-Liszt-Academy. In 1957 he went to Paris and continued his studies with Darius Milhaud and Olivier Messiaen.

Today György Kurtag is one of the most important hungarian componists after 1945.
