About Andreas Knoblich

Began playing guitar at the age of 6. Studied classical guitar in Nuremburg, Freiburg (Sonja Prunnbauer) and Würzburg, where he obtained a degree. Master classes under, among others, Manuel Barrueco, Alvaro Pierri and Milan Zelenka. Solo performances include the 950th anniversary celebration of the city of Nuremberg, Television and radio recordings. Participation in opera projects with singers of the Vienna State Opera. 
After additional studies in composition he repeatedly spent several time studying in Brazil, concentrating his musical activities and compositions/arrangements on Brazilian music, above all on the Bossa Nova. 
Successful author/composer of a book of his own compositions and preliminary didactical and rhythmical exercises in the Brazilian style which appeared around the world.
Andreas Knoblich is the artistic head of the international guitar salon "La Guitare" in Nuremberg, which offers one of the most important series of international guitar concerts focused on world music.
