Nocturne

Chopin's evergreen Nocturne for piano is now offered to organists in a sensitive transcription by Anna Lapwood, tireless protagonist for the organ and natural communicator who reaches a huge audience through her concerts and via social media with over a million followers across all platforms. The Nocturne features on her recent album LUNA (Sony Classical), an eclectic selection of pieces whose choice was inspired by the Zambian night sky. Anna explains, "With this album I’m imagining we’re standing there, gazing at the sky, overwhelmed by the magnitude of what we can see. I’m imagining that as we stare upwards our minds can almost take us there, travelling through the night sky and exploring individual stars with their unique personalities and characteristics.”
