Description
Miniaturen für Klavier is a collection of little piano pieces of one to three minutes in duration and varying degrees of difficulty. They can be played as entire cycle, as individual pieces or in various combinations.
The titles of the pieces imply contents and techniques used, sometimes following structural film principles. However, the music is not reducible to this – much too often, one appears to be on a false trail.
Johannes Boris Borowski (*1979) is an outstanding voice of New Music. Among performers of his works are the Ensemble intercontemporain, WDR Sinfonieorchester Köln, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Staatskapelle Berlin. His works were conducted by Daniel Barenboim, Zubin Mehta, Peter Eötvös, Pierre Boulez, and Susanna Mälkki.
