Description

Broken Consort is made up of four self-contained pieces, three of which are for smaller groups within the ensemble. They pieces are linked by very short fanfare like interludes before the climax of the piece in the last movement when all instruments play together for the first time. Huw Watkins was commissioned to write the work by Music in the Round for Ensemble 360 in Sheffield.
