The music publishing house Chanterelle was founded in Heidelberg by Michael Macmeeken in 1979.  After initially being continued as “Edition Chanterelle” by music publisher Allegra Musikverlag from 2013, Chanterelle has belonged to Mainz-based Musikverlag Zimmermann since 2016.

As a specialist publisher, Chanterelle offers music for classical guitarists of all levels, with a repertoire covering all stylistic eras and degrees of difficulty. The editions – many of them critical editions drawing on carefully chosen sources and including extensive introductory and background material – are of high editorial quality. This special programme enjoys an excellent reputation worldwide.
