Über Jennifer Sutton McDonel

Jennifer Sutton McDonel holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree (summa cum laude) from The Ohio State University and a Master of Arts in Music Education degree from The Eastman School of Music. She studied composition with Andrew Waggoner as part of her Mater’s program. Ms McDonel taught band and orchestra in the West Carrollton (Ohio) City Schools for six years, followed by five years teaching early childhood music classes in the Mason and Lebanon, Ohio, area. She currently teaches in the Lebanon City School District, Lebanon, Ohio.
Ms McDonel is the Executive Secretary for the Gordon Institute for Music Learning, which promotes Dr. Edwin Gordon's research into how children learn music. She is an adjudicator for the Ohio Music Educators Association, plays clarinet in her community and teaches private woodwind lessons.
