Nach einem Treffen in Dublin 2004 entwickelten Gavin Bryars and Iarla Ó’Lionáird Ideen für ein gemeinsames Projekt. Das Ergebnis ist Anáil Dé – The Breath Of God, ein 35 minütiges Werk, das altirische religiöse Manuskripte aus der Zeit vor 1600 vertont und traditionelle irische Musik mit moderner europäischer Musik verbindet.
