À propos de Jugendsinfonieorchester Marzahn-Hellersdorf
The Marzahn-Hellersdorf Symphonic Youth Orchestra was founded in 2005 at the Marzahn-Hellersdorf Musikschule in Berlin at the initiative of the students themselves. Under the direction of their conductor, Jobst Liebrecht, these young musicians have in a very short time become a significant presence in the musical life of Berlin. The group has become known throughout Germany for its innovative programming and its groundbreaking work with young people. From the very beginning, the orchestra has had a particular interest in new music. The orchestra has premiered works by composers such as Juliane Klein, Moritz Eggert, Detlev Glanert, Jan Müller-Wieland, Helmut Oehring, Alexander Strauch, and Bernd Redmann. Since 2007, the orchestra has had a cooperative agreement with the Radio Symphony Orchestra of Berlin (RSB). 2008, on the occasion of the performance of the Plöner Musiktag, the Marzahn-Hellersdorf Musikschule was named after Hans Werner Henze. In the fall of 2009, together with Otto Sander as speaker, musicians from the RSB, and the Audi Young People’s Choral Academy from Ingolstadt, the orchestra took part in a performance of Joseph Haydn’s Creation in the Berlin Cathedral. In October 2010, the Marzahn-Hellersdorf Symphonic Youth Orchestra once again presented a Hindemith festival, this time with the motto “Unter Strom / Wir bauen Musik” ("Plugged In / We Build Music"). In addition to works by Hindemith, the festival also featured the world premiere of Blindflug for orchestra and solo trautonium by Benjamin Schweitzer.Produits
