À propos de David Panzl

David Panzl (b. 1985) received his first percussion training at the age of four from Martin Grubinger, Sr. At 13, he played his first solo concert. During his school days in Salzburg, he traveled to New York a number of times to study jazz. Panzl studied percussion at the private university MUK in Vienna, and thereafter marimba with Keiko Abe in Tokyo. Panzl teaches percussion at the Uni versity of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, conducts master classes worldwide, and is often a juror for international percussion competitions. As a soloist, he has ap peared in Tokyo’s Suntory Hall, in the Seoul Art Center, and the Konzerthaus in Vienna. He has also performed at the Seoul Drum Festival and the Salzburg Festival. He has worked with such distinguished artists as Keiko Abe, Nebojša Živkovic, Jeff Queen, and Tim Collins, and has participated in many premiere performances. Numerous recordings and publications document Panzl’s work.
