Description
Commissioned by the American Choral Directors Association and first performed at the 2015 ACDA Convention in Salt Lake City, this setting of the Gloria text from the Christian Mass (in Latin) is a highly energetic, rhythmic piece with a contrasting, lyrical middle section. Repeated rhythmic and melodic figures make the work very accessible, but striking to listen to. The accompaniment is written on two staves for organ or piano.
