Description
This beautiful tenor sax feature was originally written for the Jaco Pastorius Word Of Mouth Band, then recorded in 1986 by the Mintzer Big Band on Camouflage (DMP). Playable by proficient groups, it is set in a ballad feel, but includes a double-time section for the band and soloist. Mintzer says that this music is "all about the feel" and that execution of the actual notes is not too difficult. Rhythm section parts are partially notated with chords cued.
