My concerto for violin and orchestra is about the fascination I have in being unable to resist the pull of expanse, height and depth; in experiencing limits, and in having to pass them too. Like a diver or an astronaut entering a dark expanse, the soloist in TiefenRausch moves in an unknown space, observing his surroundings in a reflective manner until he is drawn into the depth in an ecstatic current.
