Description

It does not end without the beginning. It does not begin without the end. The end is an omen of the new beginning. This piece is a device to transcend ‘time’. I composed it when I was staying in Norway where the earth rotates slowly. It is dedicated to Knut Vaage. The sound space repeats compression like 7-6-5-4-3-2-1. The two movements The Beginning of the End and After the End should be performed continuously. Atsuhiko Gondai
