Product Details
Description
In its organization, the koto symbolizes the woman, the cello the man, and the background ensemble signifies the nature and universe that extend within and without them. The poem which became the text for Somonka is a love song between a woman and a man. The song is about the deep sorrow the lovers feel due to the long time they are not able to meet and the great distance that separates them when the man is sent from the capital to a distant land. Toshio Hosokawa
