In 1807, Matiegka rearranged Beethoven's Serenade in D major op. 8 for violin, viola and violoncello and made it into a trio with guitar - a version which soon became very popular at the time. This new edition makes this precious work available again. For studying purposes, the scores of the original instrumentation can be used.
