Partita

Partita for Cello and Guitar by Kalevi Aho was composed during a train trip to Kolari, in the Finnish Lapland. It is dedicated to cellist Marko Ylönen and guitarist Timo Korhonen, whom also commissioned the work. Partita received its premiere during the Luosto Classic festival in August 2016. It is the kind of Aho we've grown to like and enjoy: well-written music that speaks to the listener and the performer.
