Our Man Bill

Commissioned by the Wheeling High School (IL) Jazz Band directed by Brian Logan, this chart is the opening movement of a suite written in memory of music educator Bill Carroll. Bristling with excitement from beginning to end, this blues-based swing journey for medium level groups is loaded with solid ensemble work. With chords cued in all parts, the open solo section can be customized and extended to feature several players.
