Description
On Colours traces an imaginary journey from coloured to white light beginning with ta series of layered themes, each in a different mode. These themes, as well as creating a polymodeal tapestry, have different pulses, echoing the idea of colours having different wavelengths. Gradually, as the piece unfolds, each of the themes is given prominence, until the end when they are pulled together by the tonal centre of C and their characters mould to each other.
