O bone Jesu

This 10-minute a cappella motet is suitable for advanced choirs for both concert and liturgical perfomances.  It is a reflective and richly textured work, which uses an anonymous Latin text from a setting by Robert Carver (16^th century). Its use of counterpoint interspersed by rich quiet chordal phrases emphasises the spiritually ecstatic nature of the text to great effect.  English, German and French reference translations are included in this edition.
